  1.                       EOUTFORTHF  -  An Outline Processor

  5. EOUTFORTHF is a basic outline processor, designed to provide fast and easy
  6.     entry and re-organization of outlines.  It is ideal for brainstorming and 
  7.     general organization of any written document. Complete printing facilities
  8.     are included in the outliner.  While the basic functions are kept as 
  9.     easy as possible, it does include extended functions for Find &/or 
  10.     Replace and output to ASCII or Wordstar disk files.  Headings are one 
  11.     line each (up to 79 characters) with a convenient line editor provided. 
  12.     ^T flags a line as text to be printed without numbering - this allows 
  13.     you to write paragraphs under numbered headings if you wish. 
  14.     Complete Help windows are available at any time by pressing F1.

  16. EGetting started.F
  17.     Now it is time to start up the program by typing OUTFORTH <Enter>. 
  18.     Any other entries on the command line will be ignored.  You EmustF
  19.     have at least 83K of free memory available for OUTFORTH.
  20.     Press "r" and type the filename "outforth" <Enter>.  This reads the 
  21.     OUTFORTH.OTL file into memory.  The .OTL extension signifies an 
  22.     outline format file.  Press "o" and you are in the Outliner, viewing 
  23.     additional information about keys not explained in the HELP windows. 
  24.     Use the F1 key to review the functions available.  You may wish to "ESC" 
  25.     & "P"rint this file for reference; set the Indent amount to "3" before 
  26.     printing and try the "B" numbering option.

  28. When OUTFORTH is started, or when you specify "N"ew in the Run menu, 
  29.     entering the Outliner with "o" gives you a blank outline without a 
  30.     filename.  Press <Enter> to edit (enter text) in the first heading.

  38. EMiscellaneous.F
  39.     The embedded control codes in outlines for Bold and Italics are the 
  40.     same as the equivalent functions in WordStar files produced with the 
  41.     "Word-Processing-Save" function.  Use the global replace function 
  42.     in WordStar to convert literal ^U's ( ^P^U) to the WordStar underline 
  43.     code.  After inserting extra hard carriage returns before and after 
  44.     a block of outline text, the paragraph re-form function will work. 
  45.     Most keyboard enhancers may be used to generate macro text that will 
  46.     be accepted by the OUTFORTH Editor.
